GitBoba is a client app for self-hosted Gitea and Forgejo servers (and Demo mode on your device). It does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server operated by the developer — ever.

What we collect

Nothing. GitBoba has no backend, no database, and no analytics pipeline. There is nowhere for your data to go except your own Gitea or Forgejo server when you use a real account.

Your data stays on your device and your server

Credentials — your server URL and API token are stored exclusively in the iOS/macOS Keychain on your device, using hardware-backed encryption.
All network requests go directly from your device to your own Gitea or Forgejo server. Demo mode uses local sample data only. No data passes through any third-party or developer-operated server.
No analytics, crash reporting, or tracking of any kind is included in the app.

In-App Purchase

GitBoba may offer a one-time Pro upgrade via Apple's App Store (StoreKit 2). All purchase handling is done entirely through Apple. The developer receives no financial data directly, and no personal information is shared as part of this transaction.
